This cowl is one of a number of cowls woven on my ‘Oh Joy’ warp. The warp was dye painted a combination of ultra marine blue, lavender, coral, pink, sliver and pale aqua. The weft was also hand dyed in a lavender aqua colour. The warp is UKI mercerized cotton and the weft is a mulberry silk. This cowl is lined with a very fine commercially woven silk fabric that was hand dyed in a colour to complement the woven cloth.
This cowl is woven in a combination of two twills alternating across the cloth.
